**Q: Why aren't my assets linked to a customer or showing properly in the list under Customer->Assets?**
To properly link assets to customers, make sure your Form is named exactly 'Assets'. Forms with different names like 'New Assets' won't function the same way. You can export the current form, then create a new form using the exported ZIP file and name it 'Assets'. Also, ensure that the 'Dependency' field links Assets to Customers in the Form Builder.

**Q: Is there a way to auto-generate the asset details in a form when visiting a Customer site? I.e. Have the make and model etc in the form so that the site staff attending know what asset they are working on and dont have the ability to change / mis-spell it?** 
Yes - For the Assets to appear under the Customer, there is a step to link the them in your Assets Form. From the Form Builder, if you drag the option called "Dependency" to the Form and from the "Dependency with*" drop down, select Customers.

**Q: Should I make Customer or Asset the primary association on a job?**
If you always track work against an asset history, set Asset as primary and Customer as secondary. This ensures forms, addresses, and history anchor on the asset. Only use Customer as primary if asset details are optional for the workflow.

** Q: How do I create a parent–child relationship inside an Asset in Dusk FSM?  **

To create a parent–child link between assets using Forms:

1. Go to **Operations → Forms → Form Builder**.  
2. Click **+Form** (top right) and name it — for example, *Asset Child Form*.

3. Return to the **Forms** menu and locate your existing *Assets Form*.  
4. Click the ✏️ **Edit (pencil)** icon.  
5. From the left menu, drag the **Dependency** widget onto the canvas.  
6. In the **Field Options** tab (left menu), select **Dependency with**, then choose the form you just created (*Asset Child Form*).  
7. If multiple parent–child assets are required, place this **Dependency** field inside a **Multiple** widget.  
8. Click **Save**.  
9. Go to **Operations → Assets**, and click **+Asset** — the *Asset Child* data will now appear in the drop-down list.

💡 **Tip:** The new *Asset Child Form* must contain at least one record before it appears in the selection list.
