## Adding Custom Attributes to Customers in Dusk FSM

Dusk FSM allows you to add **Custom Attributes** to Customer records, giving your business the flexibility to store information that is unique to your processes.

Examples include:

* Service Region
* Customer Classification
* Account Manager
* Internal Reference Numbers
* Business Unit
* Contract Group

Custom Attributes become available on Customer records and can be used to capture additional operational information beyond the standard customer fields.

## Adding Custom Attributes to Customers

1. Navigate to **Customers**
2. Open any Customer record
3. Select the **Settings** tab
4. Click **Customer Custom Fields**
5. Under **Custom Attributes**, enter the name of your new attribute
6. Click **Add**
7. Click **Save**

## Managing Custom Attributes

To add a new Custom Attribute:

* Type the attribute name
* Click **Add**

To remove an existing Custom Attribute:

* Click the **X** beside the attribute name

⚠️ Removing a Custom Attribute may affect Customer records that currently use that field.

## Where Do Custom Attributes Appear?

Once created, Custom Attributes become available on Customer records.

Users can populate values against each Customer as required.

## HubSpot Users

If HubSpot is connected to your Dusk FSM environment, you can also display **HubSpot Custom Properties** on Customer records.

HubSpot Custom Properties are created and managed within HubSpot and synchronized into Dusk FSM. They are separate from Dusk FSM Custom Attributes.

Examples include:

* Customer Segment
* Installation Type
* Service Level
* Contract Type
* Preferred Contact Method
