## 📊 Task Manager Dashboard

The **Task Manager Dashboard** is a real-time operational view of work volume, staff utilisation, work status distribution, and planned vs actual duration to help teams prioritise, balance workloads, and improve delivery performance.

## 🗂️ Work Types and Categories Setup

Work Types and Categories are configured within:

**Operations → Forms → Form Builder → Work Settings tab**

Scroll to the bottom and locate:

### Step 3 - Work Operations

Within this section, you can:

* Create **Work Categories**
* Link Categories to specific **Work Types**
* Define how newly created Work is categorised

Once configured, newly created Work can be:

* ✅ **Automatically assigned** to a Category (if linked in Step 3 - Work Operations)
* ✏️ **Manually assigned** to a Category (if no automatic linkage exists)

## 📝 Assigning Work to a Category

When creating new Work:

* If a **Work Type → Category linkage** exists, the system will automatically assign the correct Category.
* If no linkage exists, you can manually select the appropriate Category during Work creation.

## 🔍 Filtering by Category in the Task Manager Dashboard

From the **Task Manager Dashboard**, you can filter Work using the Category selector.

This allows you to:

* Focus on specific operational streams
* Analyse workload by Work Type
* Compare performance across different categories
* Review duration trends and status distribution by segment

## 📈 Viewing Dashboard Outputs by Category

When a Category is selected, all dashboard widgets dynamically update, including:

* Duration Planned vs Actual by Month
* Work Status distribution
* Staff Utilisation
* Staff Availability

This enables targeted operational insights for each segment of your business.
