> 💡 **Materials vs Inventory:** Use **Materials** when you need **stock deduction** for parts consumed on jobs. Use **Inventory** only for **customer-owned** or **loaned items** placed on site (no stock deduction).

## 🪜 Step-by-Step Setup

### 1) Connect HubSpot and Map Pipelines
Choose the **deal stage** that creates a Dusk job (e.g., *Closed Won*) and the stage to update when the job is **completed**.

### 2) Define Install Job Types (and Projects if Multi-Visit)
Create **Install** with standard duration (e.g., full-day). For pre-install + install flows, use **Projects** to keep multi-visit tasks together.

### 3) Build Completion & Handover Forms
Use **Forms** for completion certificates, mandatory photos (before/after), customer sign-off, and QA checks.

### 4) Configure Regions/Markets and Schedulers
Create **Regions** and assign staff/contractors for filtered scheduling views.

### 5) Schedule Production (Calendar/Gantt/Map)
Drag unassigned installs to the correct installer; reschedule with conflict warnings.

### 6) Set Up **Materials** and Allocate Job Kits
Create SKUs and categories (bases, panels, trims, glass, fixtures). Allocate **job kits** so installers see required parts and **stock is deducted** on use.

Send job time & materials to accounting as a **draft invoice** for payment processing. *(In-app mobile payments are not supported at present.)*
