**Q: What’s the best way to set up similar materials with different prices, like color variations?**
If you have materials that are functionally the same—such as gutter coil—but vary by color and price (e.g., residential vs. builder pricing), it's best to create each variation as a separate material entry with its own SKU. This ensures accurate pricing, inventory tracking, and ease of identification for your field teams.

**Q: Can I track material requests from the field and link them to jobs?**
Yes. Field staff can submit internal material order requests using a custom form. Each form can include a dropdown list of materials (populated from your inventory). Once submitted, the form can trigger notifications using Workflow Automation. These requests can be linked to specific jobs for streamlined procurement and scheduling. Alternatively a new job can be created from the Dusk FSM Apps, where materials can be selected as part of that process.

**Q: Can I make materials selectable in a dropdown inside forms?**
Yes. Use the Form Builder’s dependency or lookup fields to pull in existing materials. This allows field users to select from preloaded material records without needing to enter them manually. If this option isn’t visible for materials, contact support to enable it.
