## How to Use Dynamic Optimizer Stage 3 Optimization in Dusk FSM

The **Dynamic Optimizer** is Stage 3 of Dusk FSM's optimization engine. It is designed for **real-time scheduling**, helping you reassign and resequence jobs during the day as conditions change — such as staff availability, job overruns, or new urgent work.

Unlike Stage 1 and Stage 2, which are focused on planning, the Dynamic Optimizer runs continuously for **active shifts**, keeping your schedule aligned with real-world field conditions.

### Where to Access

You can access the **Dynamic Optimizer** through the **Live Optimizer – Real-Time Scheduling** screen.

* Navigate to the **Live Optimizer** module
* Select the **work or job scope** from the dropdown
* Choose either:

* **Run Optimizer (Selected Work)**
  * **Run Optimizer (All Visible Work)**
* Use **Simulation Mode** if you want to preview suggestions before applying them

### How It Works

* ❌ Does **not** use the Greedy Engine
* ✅ Uses the **Dusk FSM real-time optimization logic**
* ✅ Always considers **live technician availability**, shift time, and capacity
* ⚙️ **Can optionally use Graphhopper** if routing is enabled in your configuration
* 🧠 Applies a set of **smart rules, penalties, and tie-breakers** behind the scenes

You can **run it on a single job** (Selected Work) or **bulk reoptimize the entire day** (All Visible Work).

### Key Features of the Live Optimizer Screen

* **Real-time technician availability** with visual indicators
* Current shift or availability time (e.g., "Avail 09:00")
* Job details including time window, duration, and required skills
* Simulation mode for testing before live changes are made
* **Last Optimization Summary** showing coverage and travel stats

### Simulation Modes

You can simulate without applying changes using:

* **What If (Dynamic)** – Test how the current assignment could be improved
* **What If (All)** – Preview a full-day plan across all visible jobs

This is useful for comparing results before committing to changes.

### Example Use Case

A field technician’s earlier jobs overrun, and an urgent task has been added nearby. Instead of manually reshuffling jobs, the dispatcher selects all jobs for the day and runs the Dynamic Optimizer. The system automatically reorders the schedule, reassigns the urgent task to a nearby available technician, and minimizes SLA risk.
