## 🧠 How to Use Optimize Now Stage 1 Optimization in Dusk FSM

The **Optimize Now** feature in the Job Summary screen provides a **fast, first-pass optimization** for unassigned or scheduled jobs. This is the simplest stage of optimization, ideal for same-day reallocation using basic filters and the Dusk FSM Greedy Engine.

### 📍 Where to Access

You can access this tool from the **Job Summary screen** by clicking the **brain icon 🧠** labeled **Optimize**.

### ⚙️ How It Works

This optimization uses:

* ✅ The **Dusk FSM Greedy Engine** (no advanced weights)
* ❌ No use of route sequencing unless explicitly enabled in system config
* ❌ No sliders or weighting logic applied

This stage is designed to be **fast and lightweight**—perfect for rapid job assignment within filtered criteria.

### 🎯 Step-by-Step Instructions

#### 1. Set Filters

Use the **Filters panel** on the right-hand side to define your optimization parameters:

* Assignee
* Customer
* Suburb
* Region
* Priority
* Status
* Type
* Health

These act as **inclusions/exclusions** for which jobs will be considered in the optimization.

#### 2. Run Optimization

Click the **Optimize** button (brain icon 🧠) to confirm your filters. A pop-up window titled **Optimize Visual Work** will appear, showing the selected filters and date range.

You now have two options:

* 🔍 **Preview Optimization** – Review the proposed changes before applying
* 🚀 **Optimize Now** – Instantly run the optimization and apply assignments

### 📝 Notes

* This stage is **filter-driven only**—no sliders or advanced bias settings are applied
* Ideal for **bulk reallocation** of work that is visible in the current filtered view
* Only considers jobs that match **on-screen filters**
* Does **not** perform routing or job order optimization unless Graphhopper is specifically enabled

### ✅ Use Case

> A dispatcher has 20 unassigned jobs showing in their filtered view for today. Instead of manually assigning them one by one, they use the Optimize button to instantly allocate them based on staff availability and shift.
