## How to Manage Multi Task Work Financials in Dusk FSM

Multi Task Work (sometimes referred to as projects) often involves budgets, labour, and materials across multiple phases. The Financials tab in Dusk FSM helps you track costs in real time, compare actuals vs budgets, and maintain clear oversight across the full lifecycle.

## Where to Manage Financials

Inside each Multi Task Work item, open the **Financials** tab (💲 icon). This is where you can:

* enter budgets per task
* track actual costs as work is completed
* compare current spend against budget baselines

## How to Enter a Budget

1. Open your Multi Task Work item
2. Click the **Financials** tab
3. Locate the **Budget Cost** column
4. Click into the relevant task row
5. Enter your budget value (example, 1200 for $1,200)

💡 Budgets are typically entered at the task level so you can track cost performance more accurately across phases.

## How to Create a Budget Baseline

Baselines let you store a snapshot of your budget so you can measure changes over time.

1. In the top right of the Financials tab, click the **dollar bill icon 💵**
2. Name your baseline (example, Approved Budget, Baseline v1)
3. Click **Save**

📌 Create new baselines throughout the lifecycle to track scope changes, cost movements, and financial performance.

## Where Do Costs Come From

The **Costs** column is automatically populated from:

* **Materials** booked against tasks
* **Labour** logged by staff through time tracking or completion entries

This ensures your financial view stays current as field and office teams progress through work.

* report clearly to stakeholders
