## 🧰 How do I add a new Report in Dusk FSM Report Builder?

Use **Report Builder** to assemble a report from widgets, then save it for later viewing.

**Navigation:** Admin → Report Builder → Add Report

### Page overview

- **Enter Report Name** — required to enable **Save**.  
- **Tabs**
  - **Widgets** — drag widgets into the canvas and configure them.
  - **Settings** — per-widget options also appear in this panel once a widget is selected.
- **Canvas** — the dashed area, Drop widgets here.
- **Save** — stores the report layout and widget settings.

> Tip: Give the report a clear name, for example “Customer Form Summary, Q2”.

### Data source: Form Name

Most widgets include a **Form Name** dropdown. Choose the **Form** whose records will feed that widget.  
Use the **same Form Name** across widgets if you want them to show data from the same dataset.

## Widgets on this page

### 1) Table
Shows rows and columns from the selected form.

- **Form Name** — choose the form to read from.  
- **Field Name** — choose one or more columns to display.

**Use it for:** detailed lists, quick audits, exporting rows.

### 2) Bar Chart
Compares categories or groups.

- **Form Name** — choose the source form.  
- **X Axis Field Name** — choose the category or grouping field.  
- **Y Axis Field Name** — choose a numeric field to plot.

**Guidance:** pick a categorical X field, for example *Region* or *Status*, and a numeric Y field, for example *Amount* or *Score*.

### 3) Line Graph
Shows change across an ordered field.

- **Form Name** — choose the source form.  
- **X Axis Field Name** — choose an ordered field, typically a **date/time** or a numeric sequence.  
- **Y Axis Field Name** — choose a numeric field.

**Guidance:** for time trends, select a date field on X, and a numeric value on Y.

### 4) Pie Chart
Shows the distribution of values in one field.

- **Form Name** — choose the source form.  
- **Field Name** — choose the categorical field to split the pie.

**Guidance:** use fields like *Status*, *Type*, or *Category* to see how records are distributed.

### 5) Photo
Displays a static image on the report.

- **Name** — a label for the image.  
- **Choose File** — upload the image.

**Use it for:** logos, a legend, or a reference diagram.

## Build a report, step by step

1. **Enter Report Name.**  
2. In **Widgets**, **drag** the widget you need into the canvas.  
3. Click the widget to open its **Settings**, then complete the fields shown above.  
4. Repeat for additional widgets, using the same **Form Name** if you want them based on the same dataset.  
5. Click **Save**.

**Common actions**

- Remove a widget with the **×** icon on its header.  
- Collapse or expand a widget section to focus while editing.  
- Re-open **Report Builder** later to adjust settings, then **Save** again.

## Troubleshooting

- **Blank chart:** confirm **Form Name** is set, and both **X** and **Y** fields are selected where required.  
- **Chart will not render:** choose a **numeric** Y field for Bar or Line charts.  
- **Table shows the wrong columns:** re-open **Field Name**, then re-select the columns you want.  
- **Cannot save:** make sure **Enter Report Name** is filled.
