## 🔗 How to Connect Dusk FSM to Xero

Dusk FSM integrates with **Xero** to streamline accounting workflows by synchronizing General Ledger (GL) Codes, Purchase Orders, and Invoices between both platforms.

This integration helps reduce manual data entry, improve financial accuracy, and simplify the transition from operational activities to accounting processes.

### 🔧 Connecting Xero to Dusk FSM

To connect Dusk FSM to Xero:

1. Navigate to **System Settings → Integrations**.
2. Click **+ Integration**.
3. Select **Xero**.
4. Click **Connect**.
5. Sign in to your Xero account when prompted.
6. Authorize Dusk FSM to access your Xero environment.
7. Return to Dusk FSM and click **Test Connection**.

If the connection is successful, a confirmation message will be displayed.

> ⚠️ If you receive an authorization error, ensure your Xero account has the required permissions. You may need assistance from your Xero Administrator.

### 🔄 General Ledger Code Synchronization

Once connected, Dusk FSM can synchronize your Xero Chart of Accounts.

Benefits include:

* Access to Xero GL Codes when creating Purchase Orders
* Access to Xero GL Codes when creating Invoices
* Consistent coding between operational and accounting systems
* Reduced manual entry errors

GL Codes automatically become available throughout Dusk FSM after synchronization.

### 📦 Sending Purchase Orders to Xero

Purchase Orders created in Dusk FSM can be sent directly to Xero.

To send a Purchase Order:

1. Open the Purchase Order.
2. Click **Send to Xero**.
3. Dusk FSM creates a **Draft Bill** within Xero.

The Draft Bill can then be reviewed, approved, and processed by your finance team within Xero.

> 📌 Dusk FSM does not send Purchase Orders directly to suppliers through Xero.

### 🧾 Sending Invoices to Xero

Invoices created in Dusk FSM can also be synchronized with Xero.

To send an Invoice:

1. Open the Invoice.
2. Click **Send to Xero**.
3. Dusk FSM creates a **Draft Invoice** within Xero.

Your finance team can then review, approve, and send the Invoice from Xero.

> 📌 Dusk FSM creates the Draft Invoice in Xero but does not automatically send it to the Customer.

### 🔒 Xero Authentication and Security

Xero uses secure authentication to protect your accounting data.

Depending on your Xero configuration, periodic reauthorization may be required to maintain the connection.

If synchronization stops working unexpectedly:

1. Open **System Settings → Integrations**
2. Select the **Xero** integration
3. Reconnect the account if required
4. Run a connection test

### 🔌 Disconnecting Xero

To disconnect Xero from Dusk FSM:

1. Navigate to **System Settings → Integrations**
2. Select the **Xero** integration
3. Click **Disconnect**

Disconnecting the integration prevents future synchronization but does not remove previously synchronized records.
