## How do I add custom fields to Suppliers?

Custom fields (custom attributes) let you capture additional information against each Supplier, for example lead time, account codes or references.

### Steps

1. Navigate to the **Suppliers** module
   **URL path:**
   `/suppliers`

2. Select the **Settings** tab
   **URL path:**
   `/suppliers/settings`

3. Click the **pencil icon** to edit Supplier attributes

4. Enter your **Custom Attribute name**
5. Click **Add**
6. Repeat for any additional custom fields
7. Click **Save** to apply your changes

### Removing a custom field

* Click the **X** next to the custom attribute name
* Click **Save** to confirm the change

## Where do I find my custom attributes?

Once saved, custom attributes appear on the **Supplier detail screen** for each material.

### Location

* Suppliers list → Select a Supplier
* Custom attributes are displayed alongside standard supplier fields

**URL path:**
`/suppliers/{supplierId}`

## Notes and best practices

* Custom attributes apply to **all Suppliers**
* Attribute names should be short and descriptive
* Changes take effect immediately after saving
* Custom attributes can be used across workflows, forms, and reporting where Suppliers are referenced
