## What Is the Log Bulk Time Feature in Dusk FSM

The **Log Bulk Time** feature allows authorised users to create the same Time Sheet entry for multiple Staff members at once. It is useful when several people need the same date, duration, start time and Time Type recorded.

Unlike **Log Bulk Request**, this feature records time directly rather than creating a Work or Leave request for approval.

### When Should I Use Log Bulk Time

Use **Log Bulk Time** when time needs to be entered directly for several Staff members.

Common examples include:

* company-wide training;
* internal meetings;
* full-day team events;
* administrative corrections;
* shared activities involving several Staff members;
* other time that should be recorded without creating separate entries.

This avoids manually creating an identical Time Sheet entry for each person.

### Configure the Time Type First

The required Time Type must be available before you create the bulk entry.

To review or create Time Types:

1. Go to **Personnel > Time Sheets > Settings**.
2. Open the **Types** section.
3. Create or edit the required Time Type.
4. Configure whether the Time Type is billable if applicable.
5. Save your changes.

Use clear Time Type names so users understand how the entry will be reported.

### Log Time for Multiple Staff Members

To create a bulk Time Sheet entry:

1. Go to **Personnel > Time Sheets**.
2. Select **Log Bulk Time**.
3. Choose the Staff members for whom time should be recorded.
4. Select the required **Time Type**.
5. Enter the date.
6. Enter the duration and start time.
7. Add any relevant notes or comments.
8. Review the selected Staff members and time details.
9. Select **Save**.

The Staff members available for selection depend on your team visibility and role permissions.

### Enter the Duration

You can enter the duration using formats such as:

* `1d` for one day;
* `1h` for one hour;
* `0.5h` for half an hour.

The selected date, duration, start time, Time Type and notes will be applied to each chosen Staff member.

If different people require different information, create separate bulk entries for each group.

### Review the Created Time Entries

After saving:

1. Return to **Personnel > Time Sheets**.
2. Apply the relevant date and Staff filters.
3. Review the newly created entries.
4. Open an entry if you need to check or adjust it.

Whether an entry can be edited or deleted depends on the user’s role permissions.

### Log Bulk Time or Log Bulk Request

The two features serve different purposes:
