## 🧩 Step 1: Configure a Work Type for First Time Fix Tracking

First Time Fix tracking is enabled at the **Work Type** level.

A Work Type combines one or more Forms used by field staff during Work completion.

### To Configure First Time Fix Tracking

1. Open the **Work Type**
2. Tick the checkbox:
   * **Track First-Time Fix (Repeat Work)**

## 🏷️ Step 2: Configure Timeline Classification Filters

Timeline Classification allows you to filter and analyze First Time Fix performance based on values collected in Forms.

### To Configure Timeline Classification

1. Expand the **Timeline Classification** section
2. Enable the setting
3. Select the Form field you want to use as the timeline filter. You can only choose a Form from within this Work Type

For example:
* Screen Condition
* Asset Status
* Equipment Type
* Fault Category

These values will later appear as filters on the timeline view.

## 📍 Step 3: Configure a Work Operation

First Time Fix tracking requires a **Work Operation** linked to a physical or geo-located item.

Examples may include:

* Assets
* Equipment
* Inventory
* Devices
* Infrastructure
* Customer locations

Work Operations are configured using the **Form Builder** found under the **Forms** section.

## 🎨 Step 4: Create Work Categories

Work Categories define the types of Work you want to measure and analyze for First Time Fix reporting.

### To Configure Work Categories

1. Create one or more **Work Categories**
2. Select the **Work Type** configured in Step 1
3. Choose a timeline colour for easy identification

The selected colour will appear throughout the timeline view.

## 🛠️ Step 5: Assign the Work Category to Work

For Work to be included in First Time Fix tracking, the configured Work Category must be selected when creating the Work record.

Without a Work Category, the Work may not appear correctly within First Time Fix analysis views.

## 📊 Viewing First Time Fix Performance

To view First Time Fix insights:

1. Navigate to:
   * **Operations → Customer**
2. Open the relevant Work Operation tab.
   * Asset
   * Inventory
   * Equipment
   * Or another configured operational entity
3. Click the record or the 👁️ **View** icon to open the timeline

The timeline provides operational insights and filtering tools for analyzing repeat Work and field performance.

### Timeline Features

* **Timeline Filters**  
  Filter by the Timeline Classification values configured earlier, in this example Screen Condition.

* **Colour Indicators**  
  Work colours match the configured Work Categories.

* **View Work Button**  
  Quickly open the related Work record directly from the timeline.

* **Operational Insights Panel**  
  Displays insights and trends related to repeat Work and First Time Fix performance for the selected operational entity.
