A **Work Type** is a bundle of forms and settings that define how a specific type of Work is created and managed in Dusk FSM. It helps standardize processes, automate field requirements, and ensure consistency across your jobs or projects.

### 🧭 How to Create a Work Type

1. Go to **Form Builder → Settings**  
2. Select an existing **Form** from the dropdown list

### 🪜 Configure the Work Type

- **Enter a Name** for the Work Type — this is what you’ll choose from the dropdown when creating Work  
- **Attach Additional Forms**, such as safety checklists required for field completion  
- **Assign to Customers** if this Work Type applies to specific clients  
- **Set Defaults** like **Allocated Time**, which will auto-calculate during scheduling  
- **Enable Show Description** (tickbox) to add extra scheduling information  
- **Attach SLAs** for standardized service expectations (e.g., *Solar Repair Request* = Medium priority, 4-hour response, 8-hour resolution).

### ☀️ Example: Solar Site Visit

This example shows the Work Type **Solar Site Visit**.  
Behind this Work Type are two forms for field staff to complete:  
- **Solar Service Install**  
- **JSEA**

When scheduling, the Work Type name (e.g., **Solar Site Visit**) will appear, along with its associated forms for completion in the field.
